Origin Materials is a company based in Sacramento, California, that tackles hard problems in chemistry and materials science. Origin's intermediates can be used to make new polymers, surfactants, and carbon blacks, each with differentiated performance.
The CTO of Origin Materials wears many hats; while his job description includes anticipating the needs of Origin's business relationships, managing budget and fundraising efforts, and staying abreast of Origin's chemistry and technology, his day-to-day duties encompass so much more. As the assistant, your job is to ensure that the CTO has as much bandwidth as possible to focus on and complete the most important tasks. You must be able to multi-task and juggle day-to-day responsibilities (such as scheduling, booking travel, and completing writing projects) with longer term efforts (such as planning investor visits and increasing the CTO's overall organization and efficiency).
